Initially, the boundaries of the self begin to soften and blur, with personal memories and biographical details becoming increasingly difficult to access. As the effect deepens, the distinction between internal thoughts and external perception dissolves, and familiar concepts like one's name, social roles, and life history may feel entirely foreign or meaningless.
