I'd been researching 2C-H for months before finally deciding to try it. My friend agreed to trip-sit, and we set up the living room with comfortable blankets, calm music, and plenty of water.
T+0:00 - Took the dose on an empty stomach. Feeling nervous but excited.
T+0:30 - First alerts. A slight tingling sensation in my extremities and a subtle shift in my visual field. Colors seemed just slightly more vivid.
T+1:00 - Definitely coming up now. Mild nausea that passed after about 15 minutes. The ceiling texture was beginning to shift and breathe. I felt a warmth spreading through my chest.
T+2:00 - Peak effects. Everything looked incredibly beautiful. I spent about 20 minutes just staring at a houseplant, marveling at the complexity of its leaves. Music sounded like I was hearing it for the first time. My friend and I had a deep conversation about our childhood memories.
T+3:00 - Still strong but I felt more grounded. Went outside briefly and the night sky was breathtaking. Closed-eye visuals were intricate geometric patterns in warm colors.
T+5:00 - Gradual comedown. Still felt enhanced appreciation for everything but the intensity had decreased significantly.
T+7:00 - Mostly baseline. Felt a pleasant afterglow and a deep sense of gratitude.
Overall a very positive first experience. The low dose was a wise choice — it gave me a taste of what's possible without being overwhelming. I felt safe throughout and my sitter was invaluable for grounding me during the peak.
