Some people do higher doses but I stick to about 50mg. It lasts about 50 minutes from taking to mostly sober. I force myself to wait 40 minutes(setting an alarm and noting the time) before redosing even if I want to do it before cos leaving that sort of decision to yourself when you're on Ket is a bad idea. It'll hit you in 5 minutes then you'll feel like you're going deeper until about the 15 minute mark. By 20 minutes you'll start to regain the normal feeling of your body. You might notice it when you sniff (as your body can finally react to the drip). You may feel normal soon after as it kinda feels like it's over and if it went well youll probably want to do it again asap, but you're not normal until at least the 40 minute mark so if you redose the same the effect will compound and you'll be plunged deeper without being as prepared. I realise this advice seems strict but honestly it's you're own experience that's on the line. My first time I took like 50mg and it was good so next hour I took about 100mg and it was one of the most terrifying experiences of my life.
I've taken more than 50mg and redosed before 40 minutes and it's been fine sometimes. But it's risky if you're not prepared. You learn to get used to it though and enjoy it more so you may get to the point where you can do shittonnes out of the blue, but I recommend carefully gauging it beforehand. For example if you wanna do loads then try out doing less, repeat 1 hour later and by then you should be able to gauge the pattern so if you feel like you wanna do more then decide how much.
That being said I fucking love it and generally it goes very well.
Also here's my personal notes to myself that I've written to consult before doing it. I've written comments for you between the / / symbols:
/If you start to freak out then then I consult my notes on the basics of conducting myself. Basically step 1 think about what you're actually doing, step 2 if there's people around then listen to them respectfully and think so as to gauge the situation you're in, step 3 think from the current moment into the near future if there's anything you should be doing, and think from where you are out into your vicinity if there's anything you should be doing and act accordingly. This may seem silly but it should allow you to make the first steps back into reality/
/If someone else's freaking out then I guessing just help them however you generally would?/
Think if theres anything youll need to do while on ket or after, or if people will turn up later /do this so when on Ket you can remember that you set this time out for yourself to enjoy so you dont get anxious or have to deal with people that might ruin the experience. This is more for if you're doing it at home. If you're doing it socially then I you tend to be accustomed to the chaos so it isn't as bad as if it suddenly enters while on ket/
Note the time when you do it /so that you can check what stage of the experience youre at(as i described in my other comment) /
/Realise you always have the freedom to change what you're doing when it starts to feel like you're stuck doing something you don't like(for example changing song in playlist) again this is more for when you're doing it in a controlled environment/
Don't obsess over revelations /you'll likely overestimate the significance and validity of any deep thoughts (happens mostly when alone) you have and will probably want to write them down. Some of them may be good but often you'll waste an actual experience to write something that's not worth it. If you think it's important write the gist down quickly and leave the analysis till you're sober/
