I've had 4 experiences so far. Met a cool dude in math class at uni, he extracts from acacia. Have used his vape (yocan evolve plus) as well as mine (vapcap). Also for reference my only psychedelic experiences prior are with cannabis, which I've used for 5 years now.
I consider myself a fairly intelligent individual, I love learning new things, and love keeping up to date with the the most advanced fields of science. THC played a key role in my personal development, it gave me a deeper sense of connection to all things in the universe, helped me to look at my life from the outside, and really just shook me out of the realm I was limiting myself to. The way I thought of it was that I was living my life like a movie, where I was the star, and the plot mostly revolved around me. Cannabis opened my perspective to be more than myself. I became deeply invested in looking at the world, what's wrong with it, and the proposals for fixing it. In those 5 years since starting, I had found most of my answers, in addition to a new set of questions, most of which remain unanswered by science. I had a feeling that there was more to existence than what we were able to currently model. I was aware of DMT via Joe Rogan, who led me to Terence and Dennis McKenna as well as Dr. Rick Strassman.
1st DMT Experience: Used my friend's yocan, no clue on dosages for any of these sorry. Didn't hold in for long this slowly began to see my vision worbling like a fluid, fairly mild, and faint spiral fractal patterns. Next, I closed my eyes, and the fractal pattern I was seeing began to suck into itself in what I would describe as a double tornado motion, where two tornadoes met at their bottoms, but horizontally, like this shape
)><(
The spirals that formed the tornado went on without end, similarly to electric field lines. This first experience was not too distinct from my experiences with cannabis.
2nd Experience: With the yocan again, this time, almost immediately after the hit, I saw a circular grid extend from me out to the field of grass I was looking at. I felt as though the car I was sitting in was slightly lifting up and down like a swaying boat. That was about it.
3rd Experience: This time out of my vapcap, I took a big hot rip and held it in for maybe 10 seconds when it happened. With a full lung, I took in a full breath, and another, and another, and another, it felt impossible, like I could take in as much air as I wanted to. While that was happening, the world around me was rapidly changing. The initial blastoff was orgasmic, but not in a very sexual way, I think it was just a natural result of experiencing as much as I was. At this point I had an immediate understanding that I was incapable of describing what was happening to me. I looked at the palm side of my hand, and it was symmetrical, and there were 7 fingers. I counted and touched all 7. I look over at my friend and he's wearing different clothes, and is more symmetric. I had the feeling he knew exactly where I was. This place... There were no set values, lengths, distances, numbers, colors, the possibilities were open, and I refrain from saying endless because I've heard the stories of those who've gone much deeper, and with my limited experience I could tell I was in the presence of something with the power to do so. The dashboard of the car would go through changes, different colors, different AC vents, different buttons. Upwards of 10 different patterns, motions, fluctuations were all going off at the same time. The music had changed just as much as the world around me. I checked inside my vapcap to see how much was vaporized, and realized it was a completely different shape. This is an object I see and feel up close and personal every day, and it was no longer that object, I rubbed my finger on it and got tactile confirmation that the object had indeed changed. I told him it was crazy that he was experienced in this, because it is, he's like a hyperdimensional sage. I see a bird walk up to the car, the bird is no different than before, like he belongs there with me too. Things slowly calmed down and took earthly form again. I was reeling from how insane it was. My mind was trying to make sense of it for hours after, and I'm still trying to. There were a few moments at home where for just a moment I would have a DMT memory and I saw patterns for a moment.
4th Experience, my second trip to the other realm: This time was very similar to the last, but shorter and purposefully cut off because I had to get to class. Very similar to the last. I'm remembering how things work here, getting a better hold on what this place is. I confirm that this is not visual hallucination, but rather, that I am operating on a different wavelength, and that it is invisible to the rest of the world. My friend was doing a great job of guiding me in expanding as much as possible, and it really accelerated the experience, I stared at the face of infinity, saw imaginary numbers, complex geometric sequences. Now, more familiar with the landscape, I see the similarity to the more otherworldly aspects of religions like Hinduism or more tribal cultures.
I've been trying to make connections to things I've seen before that remind me of the experience, like movies. Like in Harry Potter, the Black house is magically hidden, folded between buildings, and with a flick of the wrist, it unfolds and reveals itself. Or in interstellar when Cooper was in the 5 dimensional tesseract. Or in lord of the rings, when Frodo puts the ring on and is in the shadow land.
Been listening to a lot of McKenna, reevaluating my thoughts on a lot of things. I need to further investigate, but I want to go gradual, integrating my mind to these new ideas and ways of thinking. Will check back with more findings.
Feel free to ask any question or comment any words of advice or wisdom, I want to learn, and the nature of the experience leaves a lot of room for questions that I might have not even asked myself.
