RUNNING ON PSYCHEDELICS (A subjective/anecdotal experience)
INTRODUCTION
I have always been an avid runner, well not always, it took me to when I was 18 and discovered the power within my soul to sprint. Before that I would drag my feet. I was running on and off until 29, where I really dived into health and fitness. Thank god! Better late than never.
But I digress, this about a collection of experiments I wanted to try, to see what impact psychedelics have on the subjective experience of running, not performance.
A few years ago a read a report where someone had great success running on around 2.5mg of DOM, so this last few weeks, while I have the time and space to perform these experiments, I dove in heard first to explore their potential for subjective enhancement of running.
The experience was to include LSD, but I could not find the time, so the experiments were as follows :
18mg 2C-B
5mg DOM
16mg 2C-B
Each of them taken at different period before starting the run.
So lets get right into the chronology
18mg 2C-B
SET: feeling good and energised.
SETTING: Fresh spring day, slightly cloudy outdoors, not too cold. Saturday,
-0:30 : Ingest work out mix.
0:00 : 2C-B RIGHT before the run.
0:30 : + First alerts, body feeling a little wobbly. Cognitive all good
1:00 : ++ Incredible! Euphoria and running energy
1:30 : Feeling exhausted.
2:00 : Shower home, food. Still a ++.
3:00 : Very relaxed, want to keep it going. 5mg added.
4:00 : A nice ++ continues on
6:00 : Out, a little left. No residue, feeling refreshed and clear.
5mg DOM
SET: Generally in good spirits, had a few things sitting in my head I didnt like
SETTING: Another Fresh spring day, crisp outdoors, very cold. Saturday,
0:00 5mg DOM first
0:30 Pre work out mix.
1:00 Head for the run, some alerts
1:30 ++ Nice! This is power, love the energy
2:00 +++ Running outdoors is concerning with a +++, better make it home, starting to lose track of location 2:00 +++ Running outdoors is concerning with a +++, better make it home, starting to lose track of location
