It's my birthday and I've decided to spend my night tripping. I chose DPT because I want a beautiful but intense experience. It being the start of a new year and my 22nd birthday, I want to go all out. I intended to insufflate 100mg.
The burn was absolutely brutal — easily the worst nasal burn I've experienced from any substance. My eyes watered immediately and for about 5 minutes I questioned my decision. But then the come-up started and it was rapid.
Within 15 minutes the visuals were in full force. Dark, organic, almost biological patterns covering every surface. The headspace was deep and introspective but carried an edge that DMT doesn't have — a kind of seriousness or gravity. Music sounded incredible, with depth and texture I'd never heard before.
The peak lasted about 90 minutes and gradually softened into a warm afterglow. By the end I felt profoundly grateful and at peace. A fitting way to start a new year of life.
