So I bought a bottle of Benylin and some diphenhydramine caplets, as recommended by some of the users here. I figured that since I am seriously prone to nausea I needed all the help I can get.
I start off taking a sip from the bottle, then deciding it was too gross to continue as normal, so I go and get a 2L bottle of Sprite to wash down each gulp which helped to reduce the amount of time I was exposed to that vile taste. Eventually I decided the best way to do this was to pour the desired amount into a cup and just chug it quickly.
The come-up was rough. About 45 minutes in, the nausea hit hard and I spent a solid 20 minutes convinced I was going to throw up. I didn't, but it was close. Then gradually this warm, floating sensation started spreading through my body.
Music became absolutely incredible. Every song I put on sounded like I was hearing it for the first time. The bass had a physical presence, and I could feel the melodies wrapping around me. I spent most of the peak lying in bed with headphones on, completely absorbed in the music.
The dissociation was strange but not unpleasant — I felt disconnected from my body, like I was a consciousness floating just above it. Time became meaningless. What felt like hours was probably 20 minutes.
The next day I woke up feeling surprisingly good. Clear-headed, positive, almost energized. The afterglow was real and lasted most of the day.
