I’m an avid LSD user and have had countless trip experiences. My husband and I went through a sheet of acid over one summer and had some of the best times of our lives. Although my usage isn’t nearly as high as it used to be, I definitely love my Lucy. I’ve also had a handful of experiences with Molly, specifically candy flipping-LSD x Molly (never use Molly more than once/3 months).
We recently tried 2-CB for the first time. It was highly anticipated as we’ve had a strong desire to try mescaline and the description of it being a mix between Lucy and Molly made it super intriguing.
We tested our product with the Marquis 902 reagent and it came out green— the clean result we were hoping for. I took a 22mg capsule and my husband emptied his capsule into a glass of OJ and drank it— we had used a small part of his cap to test and it was easier to empty into OJ rather than re-capping it.
Since this was a new drug we hadn’t experienced, we decided to lay in the comfort of our bed with a movie on during the come up— Wes Anderson’s “The Grand Budapest”. If you’ve never seen his movies, I highly recommend—especially while tripping. The colorful scenery and story telling is simply amazing while sober, and even better high. I pick up on something new almost every time.
I could feel a body and head change within 15-30 minutes. My heart was slightly racing but I didn’t feel strong anxiety necessarily— of course, nervous about trying a new drug but not intense anxiety like what can happen with L for me. Within the hour mark, I felt overwhelmed with the drug coming on but in a good, manageable way. I closed my eyes just to breathe, meditate, and take in what I was experiencing. At this point, I wasn’t much listening to the movie but rather focusing on my experience. Again, it was overwhelming during the come up but I was able to control my thoughts and not let too much anxiety to kick in. I rather reminded myself I was taking a new drug and feelings like this were normal, and to let it all sink in. At this point, my cat joined us on the bed and gave me sweet cuddles. This made the experience even more comforting and enjoyable.
My husband could tell I was coming up pretty strong and asked how I was doing. I told him I was feeling great and definitely feeling the effects— although I didn’t go into much detail because of the mind state and head space I was in. He said his experience was more of a mild mushroom trip (which I’ve never tried, oddly enough, FYI). I knew he definitely wasn’t experiencing the same effects I was having.
When I opened my eyes I knew I was starting to peak. It was very similar to LSD visuals with trailing, patterns and objects breathing/wiggling, and vibrant colors. Colors were much more intensified where I actually had to turn out most of the twinkle lights we had and only have our salt lamp on because that’s what was most comfortable to me.
When returning to The Grand Budapest, I was mesmerized at what I was seeing. Not only was I experiencing normal LSD visuals, but the colors and shades of the movie were changing constantly. There was also the most intense trailing I’ve ever seen where it looked like Ralph Fiennes was a triplet and they were all standing side by side, melting into one another.
At this point, I started to notice the auditory distortions. The character’s started speaking very fast to the point I could barely make out what they were saying. I even exclaimed at what I had just witnessed and my husband said something to the effect of how high I must be. The pitch and tone of the character’s voices also began to change. Their voices turned to a high pitch, but it didn’t stay constant. These auditory distortions seemed to temporarily occur as I continued to listen.
Along with the strong LSD-type visuals, I had a constant rainbow sparkle in my vision. Everywhere I looked, there were tiny different colored specs everywhere. When stepping outside to smoke a cigarette, the sky was lit up with the normal stars I could see from the high altitude I was at, but also stars all colors of the rainbow. It was almost overwhelming to gaze at as colors were much more vibrant. I’d also like to add that I was nauseous throughout the majority of the trip, which wasn’t a great feeling. Overall, I had a good experience but was left with questions about the auditory distortions as I don’t read much about this as a side effect.
I’ve taken LSD twice since the 2-CB trip and oddly enough I had the same auditory distortions/hallucinations where the pitch/tone of voices would change and the speed at which they were talking would be very fast. I’ve never had this side effect from L before, and can’t help but assume it’s stemming from the 2-CB trip. Other than sharing my first time experience with 2-CB, I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced similar auditory distortions with 2-CB. I’m also curious if anyone has noticed a change in side effects from LSD or other psychs after trying 2-CB. The auditory distortions aren’t terrible, but I truly enjoy watching movies while on LSD and I feel that this side effect hinders the experience and almost makes me anxious now when it happens. Sorry for the long post, maybe this is better to post on Erowid :) Any feedback is appreciated. Happy tripping, friends.
