Last night was fucking amazing. One of the most wild experiences of my life by far holy shit.
For context, I'm fairly experienced with 2CB (probably around 50 trips) so I wasn't too worried about loosing my shit, but it was me and a colleague tripping whilst another colleague tripsat. Having a tripsitter whilst in public on psychs is so reassuring and probably singlehandedly saved us from a bad trip when trying to get home aha.
I've always wanted to see a movie at the cinema on 2CB, and whilst zombieland didn't seem the ideal movie for it we thought fuck it lets go.
8:15 we take 25-30mg each, smoke a doob and head to the cinema. Movie started at 9, and as we slowly slipped into the trip things got weird.
The movie kept us on edge, uncomfortable and shook for the first hour or so (however long it was idk, you know how judging time gets when you're tripping). All the jump scares, the murder, the violence, the complicated human interactions that made little sense in the moment etc. It was intense. We were enjoying the experience but our hearts were racing and we were, like I said, on edge. The humour and dumb shit kept us happy though.
Towards the end of the movie, the gang arrive at a stoneresque hippie haven, and it was introduced with bright pretty colours, soft happy guitar music and friendly faces all round. The release of the last hour's tension felt like a full body orgasm. It was absolutely amazing, we both could finally sit right in our seats, everything made sense and everything was good.
Me and my buddy looked at eachother with that 'you fuckin seeing this shit' eye you give one another when you can't remember how to form human sentences. You know the look, it was beautiful.
The movie rounds off as expected, happily ever after and whatever.
The lights come on, people start moving, the credits roll etc etc. And then, out of nowhere the movie starts talking again. It felt so weird, and the post credit scene that followed seemed so contextless and out of place. It was clearly connected but it made no sense. I turned to the tripsitter and even he had was confused, which confused me even more. I turn to the other guy tripping, and we both just say 'what the fuck' and continue to laugh hysterically through the rest of the scene. Amazing.
Conclusion: highly recommend the cinema when tripping, you are fucking in the movie, the bass in the sound feels amazing and the huge screen is so easy to get lost in. Zombieland may not be for everyone when tripping, it does get a little weird, but I'm very glad we went and the whole experience was wonderful.
Side note: all of the neon signs at the cinema made love to my eyes, they looked so fucking pretty, wow.
