I was at a music festival for 3 days from the 29th Dec to the 1st of Jan. On new years eve I had 2cb for the second time ever, the first time being in 2015. The two previous nights I had taken coke and mdma which was fantastic, however on new years eve I was a little disappointed to not feel any mdma, this was due to the fact I had over 700mg of mdma in the first two nights.
I ended up having 360mg of mdma and 50mgs of 2cb, spread over two dosages, spaced 1 hour apart (11pm and 12pm), I also had a small amount of coke right at the beginning of the night. I may have felt only the slightest effect of mdma the whole night (from 10pm to 4am), the 2cb however really started taking effect about 90 minutes after orally ingesting it, and it was coming strong. I almost had started having a bad/uncomfortable trip when it was taking effect, as I didn't really want to be tripping all night, and wasn't expecting a very psychedelic trip as my brother who had taken 2cb the previous night said that he didn't have any, or very little visuals. Boy was that not the case for me.
My trip was comparable to previous acid trips in terms of visuals, expanding and shrinking of the trees around me and morphing of objects, brighter colours, and slight tracers appearing from moving people/objects. My thinking however was almost completely lucid and I was very in control at all times. My anxieties on the come up quickly diminished when I had a balloon of nos (NO2) and had come to terms with the fact I was going to be tripping for the next few hours, this was also one of the best nos experiences I've had. I ended up having a great time, dancing for hours and hours whilst tripping, after the night was done, we had a few balloons of nos which helped bring back the 2cb visuals, I saw colorful geometric patterns when closing my eyes. Having 2cb at a music festival was definitely a new setting for a trip for me, and definitely something I will do again.
What I can take away from this experience is that 50mg of 2cb was not insanely intense of a trip, and not even close to ego death as some people on this thread would tell you 50mg will do, having said this, I personally do not think I have ever had ego death, even after taking close to 300ug of lsd and very large shroom dosages. 2cb will affect everyone differently, my brother essentially used it as a substitute for mdma as he danced for like 5 hours without breaks, and didn't really have a psychedelic experience. My girlfriend had a very psychedelic experience, and even saw patterns appearing in front of her in thin air, for me it was something in between what they had experienced.
I would not recommend this dosage for first timers trying psychs, perhaps try a small dosage of 10mg to see how it affects you. I would always recommend testing your product and using scales, as 2cb can be an easy drug to overdose on relative to other powdered drugs. I hope this trip report has helped someone!
