Other things I take daily are Zantac, Co-Q10 300 mg, Silymarin 480 mg, multivitamin/mineral, whey protein powder, and creatine. I am also using 300 mg/week of testosterone, 400 mg/week of trenbolone, and 400 mg/week of masteron. I do not suspect that any of these will alter the effects of the tapentadol, but I feel it is worth mentioning.
To qualify - Previous experience with marijuana, alcohol (heavy), MDMA, methamphetamine, psilocybin, ketamine, DXM, benzos, oxycodone, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, cocaine (heavy), heroin, opium, and probably other things as well. I do not use any of these on a regular basis today. Opiates/agonists are used a few times per year. My opiate tolerance is low to low-moderate in my opinion and I have not used any in the past month.
11:15 [T -0:00] - Split a 100 mg tablet and took half (oral, instant release). Also took 200 mg of caffeine anhydrous as powder and 25 mg of ephedrine from Bronkaid (Walgreens). The caffeine and ephedrine consumption had nothing to do with the tapentadol. I take them regularly.
11:45 [T +0:30] - Starting to feel it coming on a bit, but nothing major. There is something different about this in comparison to hydrocodone or oxycodone but I cannot put my finger on it. I can handle a good bit more but am going to wait until an hour has passed since the first dose just in case it is a 'late hitter.'
12:10 [+ 0:55] - A little bit more intense than what I was feeling before, but I think I can go ahead and take the other half.
12:35 [+ 1:20] - Now I am feeling the second half starting to creep up on top of the first. It is hard to describe the feeling exactly but I enjoy it so far.
12:46 [+ 1:31] - I initially planned on working on a paper today. Yea, that is not happening. I do not think I could concentrate on research right now, but that is what the weekends are for, right?
1:15 [+2:00] - I am enjoying myself right now. I think I like this more than oxycodone or hydrocodone as there is a bit more euphoria to it. At least I think there is. Maybe it is a confirmation bias since I know that tapentadol inhibits norepinephrine reuptake, but at the same time it does not seem to be very strong in that regard. As far as the overall feeling, I would probably put this at equal to about 30 mg of hydrocodone. According to the pharmacological profile, I should be approaching my max level from that second dose.
1:31 [+2:16] � This is fun. I am writing this as I am going and I am finding it difficult to concentrate, but I am sure I could if I had to. Heart rate is 72 BPM and BP is 141/93. I am a bit surprised to see that. I understand the vasodilating tendency of the tapentadol would likely be cancelled out by the ephedrine, but I am usually around 115-120 over 75 or so with only ephedrine and caffeine in my system. I will check it again in a bit to make sure the BP is not too labile.
2:00 [+2:45] � BP 125/84. The feeling seems to be maintaining so I am fairly certain I have seen the high point at this dosage. I have plans to go to dinner tonight so I am not going to take any more now. I could function but I would not be able to enjoy it like I want to. Next time I think I will try 150 mg PO right off the bat. After looking in the bathroom mirror I noticed my pupils were incredibly constricted. That seems to be the only side effect.
3:00 [+3:45] � Wearing off. This has been a good experiment, though, and I am glad I started at the 50 mg to assess. Maybe when I get back from dinner later I will try again with the 150 mg.
Conclusion � I very much like these as they are much more affordable than anything else. The vendorhas provided me with consistent quality and accurate dosing of other products in the past. Even if �the codones� went back down in price I do believe I would still prefer tapentadol because it does not make me nod but it still gives me that warm/fuzzy feeling inside my body and head. I get nauseous and may vomit if I ingest oxycodone or hydrocodone over 5 mg without eating a substantial meal. After doing some reading on tapentadol previously, I decided to take it without any food. No nausea or queasiness whatsoever. No itching either, which I am thankful for. I will get these again next time I am in the mood.
