My personal account of weening off -1 packs of American Spirits a day to the less noticeably uncouth nicotine vape.
Still "chain" the heck outta the nicotine, so I'm not "trying to quit." However, for the last year before trying vape, I was wheezing profusely and heard or felt tiny "crackle" sounds from my lungs, even when at rest. Pre-covid, I was commuting to my job a few days a week and having pronounced difficulty catching my breath after just a few blocks! From the upstairs apartment room the exercise portion of my commute was at most a half dozen blocks, usually less than 2.
To truncate this rather too long already story, I spent about $10 a day for AmSp, and $30 [vape] lasts about 2 weeks with whatever flavor I'm pointed towards these days. To be clear, the health impact was the main draw to switch. The "crackle" sound if present is MAGNITUDES less, I am not winded quite as fast, let's say 300% increase in lung capacity.
Vape smells better than chimney ash usually. And can not burn the bedsheets.
