I was checking my teen's medication to be sure she has been taking it and found 2 Xanax pills mixed in with it. I flushed them. Then I had a long talk with my daughter and her friend.
I wanted to take them badly. In fact, if I found them on a bad day, I probably would have. But today didn't. I ran straight to flush them before I could change my mind. I also explained to my daughter how hard it is as an addict to come across drugs in my home.
My daughter has been struggling with her mental health and her best friend gave her the Xanax (which she got from her mother) to help with my daughter's panic attacks. I'm not mad at either of them, we had a good talk and I'm proud of my daughter for telling the truth and not taking them.
Thanks for listening, I didn't want to share this with anyone else.
