My first time trying any psychs. Holy shit, I was not expecting that. I had read up on various levels to reach, dosage etc and I was aiming for a level 2 but think I probably ended up into level 3.
I've been wanting to try shrooms for a while now, but had my first opportunity over the holidays. Got some cubes, they were a little old and hadn't been stored great, ate about 1.5g... 2.5 hours later, nothing... Had another gram or so, and 0.5g of a different cubensis strain, still nothing. Two tokes on a joint and that sent me right off into another world!
I felt slightly anxious on the come up but I'm pretty good at grounding myself. Faces on the TV were going super weird, but I sort of enjoyed it. I just couldn't look at my friend's face (a girl I'm dating) for fear of getting completely freaked out.
The next few hours were mainly spent enjoying closed eye visuals. I felt like I was inside my own chest, with a canopy (my skin?) above me, and getting these crazy 3D patterns like I was flying through the Matrix. I was carved out of sand at the edge of this world.
After about an hour of the visuals (I knew I was tripping pretty hard) my friend said to me "Now it all makes sense, doesn't it?", and I felt this cog or some sort of machinery inside me click into place. I spent the next 30 minutes with my hands on my head in disbelief that such beauty exists.
My favourite moment was probably towards the end of the peak, when I was sat there listening to a track, and I just could not believe the love and the warmth that the shrooms showed me. My soul feels so warm and cosy right now.
I couldn't have wished for a better first trip, and I'm SO excited to explore more.
