A friend brought over some mushrooms a few weeks ago and was telling me how it might help my PTSD. A few hours in my trip I noticed how dirty everything was and it definitely freaked me out and heightened my anxiety at first. But I then had an epiphany moment that I've been dirty my whole life and I will change that.
It was strange how I had a bad trip but still got something positive from it. I took mushrooms the next morning and cleaned the bathroom, kitchen, and living room. I re-arranged all my furniture and it felt amazing.
3 weeks pass by and my place isn't dirty anymore. I clean almost every day now. It's also much easier to clean and be less lazy about actually doing it.
Anybody else have experiences like this? The insight that came during a difficult moment turned into a lasting behavioral change I hadn't managed to make in years on my own.
