I have had chronic lower back pain for 7 years following a disc herniation at L4-L5. The acute herniation healed but left me with persistent facet joint irritation and what my pain management doctor calls "chronic mechanical low back pain." I have tried everything -- PT, chiropractic, acupuncture, epidural steroid injections, dry needling, yoga, and every supplement imaginable.
Added BPC-157 at 250 mcg subcutaneously in lower back area, once daily for 6 weeks.
The improvement was subtle and gradual. I did not have a dramatic "my back is healed" moment. What I noticed was that my bad days became less bad. On a normal week before BPC-157, I might have 2-3 days where my back pain was a 5-6/10 and 4-5 days at 3-4/10. During the BPC-157 cycle, my worst days were maybe a 4/10 and most days were 2-3/10.
That might not sound like much, but when you live with chronic pain, the difference between a consistent 2-3/10 and a fluctuating 3-6/10 is enormous in terms of quality of life. I was more active, my mood improved, and I slept better.
The effects have partially persisted one month after stopping. My baseline is still better than pre-BPC-157, but I can feel some regression. I plan to run another cycle.
For fellow chronic pain people: temper your expectations. BPC-157 is not going to undo degenerative disc changes or restructure your spine. But it may meaningfully reduce your pain baseline and improve your functional capacity. That was worth it for me.
