Two years ago I was struggling with depression and anxiety. Both greatly impacted my thoughts, grades, and relationships with family and friends. The prescription medication I was given was also negatively impacting my life as well.
During my first experience with mushrooms I was somehow able to go into the darker parts of my mind and snap myself out of these irrelevant and worrisome thought processes. It was the first time I was able to experience REAL life and actual awareness. Since then, I've dosed other times as well. There is a beautiful lesson to be learned about yourself and the universe around you throughout every experience.
It's funny — my doctors who were bombing me with medication really believed that was the reason I was able to recover. I didn't correct them. What I know is that something shifted during that first session that years of pharmaceutical treatment hadn't touched. I'm not suggesting everyone do what I did, but I am saying the change was real and it has lasted.
