Recently my good life long friend told me he had some morphine sulphate pills, and wanted me to try them out. He gave me 20 IR 15mg morphine sulphate pills for free! For years I have been taking vicodin and have built up what I consider a pretty high tolerance for opiates. I generally take around 40-50 mg's of hydrocodone per day. Since this was going to be my first time using morphine, I was very interested in the effects, and what type of feeling I would get from these tiny little white pills.
T-0:00 After doing some research on morphine dosages, I took 3 whole 15mg morphine sulphate instant release pills orally using a water chaser on a empty stomach, and laid down in bed to watch some tv.
T-0:15 I can feel something happening. This is about the time I can feel vicodin start to work also, so at this point I am pretty excited.
t-0:30 Slight adrenaline rushes occurring in my stomach and chest area, my head feels lightweight, and my limbs have no weight to them at all. There is no pain present anywhere in my body. I have a general happiness to myself right now. Life is great, and it's getting better and better each minute!
Note: At this point I would say that the feelings morphine sulphate produces, is pretty close to vicodin. It givess the same type of feelings throughout my body that vicodin does, but there is something slightly different. Something better.
T-1:00 Peak. At this point I am laying comfortably with the tv off, and no sound in the house at all. (this is my favorite way to do opiates-no distractions) I am just staring off into nothing, and at times I nod off. I have realized the difference between vicodin and morphine now. Morphine makes me much more sedated, and relaxed. I have no nausea, or sick feelings. It completely gets rid of any pain. It does not make me constipated, although this may be due to my experience with vicodin all these years. I have only a slight itching on my legs which actually feels good. The feelings I get off of 45mg of IR morphine sulphate pills equal that to around 35-40mg of vicodin.
T-2:00 Coming down. After two hours since ingestion, I am coming off the high now. There is a general well being sensation throughout my entire body, and I just feel happy all around. The high didn't last that long compared to the vicodin which lasts me about 4 hours, but then again, they were fast release pills.
Conclusion: I will certainly use morphine when I can. Next time I will bump it up to 60 mg's. Plus, It's less expensive than the vicodin without the liver damaging apap! Even hours after I took the morphine, I have a overall happy and relaxed feeling. I have read that many people snort, smoke, or use morphine rectally. I have not taken any of those routes yet, and probably won't. Just taking them the way they should be taken, was good enough for me.
It was a great experience, and look forward to my next dose!
