I’ve abused over the counter meds for 3 years and had some of the most amazing and unsettling trips I’ve ever experienced. But last Thursday night was something else entirely. My combination of drugs used that Thursday night was a cocktail of 900mg of DXM, 900mg of DPH, and a strange new drug an old friend of mine gave to me. It looked like a normal bud of weed but crimson colored. I asked my old friend what it’d do, and he told me it’d enhance any trip 10 fold. Having wanting to experience a new type of trip, I didn’t ask any more questions. I left the parking lot we were at and headed back home. This is my trip report.
11:45pm: So here I am in my dark bedroom with all the lights off (except for the computer’s), ready for a new trip. I just downed all of the scarlet Robitussin gel caps and all of the 36 pink pills of diphenhydramine on an empty stomach. I chased both with a huge glass of lemonade.
12:00am: I feel a bit nauseous, but it’s not too bad. I’m sitting in my chair at my computer and looking at Datura trip reports.
12:30am: After opening the window to air out the smoke, I put the crimson bud in my grandpa’s pipe and lit it up. Taking a deep inhale of the smoke, I held it in for 10 seconds and then blew it out the window.
12:45am: I’m starting to see spiders crawling out of my closet, with a few centipedes crawling on the walls of my room. They aren’t translucent like in previous trips of mine; instead they are of a crimson color. As I’m hallucinating I feel this strong sensation that I am gradually entering some type of dreamish dimension.
12:50am: Holy shit, I just saw a red mummified face come out of the wall. I swear I could hear it scream, but just softly.
12:55am: I’m seeing more mummified faces fading in and out of the walls. I can hear them groaning. That and there’s black bile oozing down from their mouths and eyes. Once the bile drops to the floor, it turns into black centipedes racing across the carpet.
1:00am: The faces are still there, why won’t they leave?!?
1:06am: The faces are starting to scream loudly, I can’t take it. I just put in my headphones and cranked up my music to drown out the screaming.
1:30am: I blacked out and woke up outside in the middle of the street. I still have my phone. I can’t recognize where I am. This neighborhood seems so unfamiliar and…alien. Something’s wrong here, I can feel it. The sense of being in a dream is overwhelming, but it’s not a dream, no, it’s a nightmare.
1:48am: The trees here are freaking me out. All of their branches move in an unnatural jerking motion, but there’s no wind at all.
1:50am: I noticed that all the streetlights are red, the trees are red, and everything else is red. Where the hell am I?
2:10am: I’m seeing shadow people standing eerily still in the windows of these houses. They’re watching me. I’m also seeing spiders and centipedes crawling around the sidewalk and the street. Also I see corpses on the lawns of these houses. I see corpses hanging from the trees. I need to find my way back home.
2:14am: Oh god, I feel like something is stalking me, something evil.
2:30am: I just ran for nearly 15 minutes after hearing hundreds of feet or hands swiftly crawling after me. I’m hiding in the side yard of someone or something’s house.
3:00am: I shouldn’t have looked up at the sky. Oh god, oh fucking hell, what the fuck did I just see? What hellish abomination did I just lay my eyes upon? Someone help me please.
3:20am: There’s so many of them. So many creatures with so many limbs floating and flying in the sky with that nightmarish monstrosity watching me with its vile eye.
4:44am: I blacked out and woke up back in my neighborhood. I feel emotionally ill.
5:00am: I got to my house, took a shower and I’m now going to bed. Luckily no hallucinations. I think the trip is over. Thank god.
8:00am: I just woke up from the most terrifying nightmare I’ve ever had. I was floating in this black abyss and suddenly all my surroundings turned into this freakish hellscape of screaming inhuman and human faces with thousands of alien like eyes staring at me. A symphony of these screams echoed through my ears, my mind and my soul. Then all of a sudden I heard something speak to me in multiple grotesque evil voices all at once.
And it said: “We are coming for you.”
Then I woke up.
It’s been a whole week since that hellish trip. I still get the same reoccurring nightmare every night. I’m scared. I’m so fucking scared. I feel like my mind has been violated by something so revoltingly unholy. And worst of all, I’ve been feeling this sense of impending doom of something coming for me. Something vast, something wrong, something alien.
