Low Risk
MDMA Flip
6–8 hours
T+4:00 to T+6:00

The nexus flip is the combination of 2C-B and MDMA. It has become increasingly popular as a successor to the candyflip, particularly because 2C-B's shorter duration and gentler headspace make the combination more manageable and predictable. The typical approach is to take MDMA first and then take 2C-B as the MDMA begins to fade — the 2C-B extends and transforms the MDMA afterglow into a gentle psychedelic experience rather than the typical MDMA comedown. Many users consider it the most "fun" of the flip combinations, with less risk of overwhelming intensity than LSD or mushroom-based flips.
If the candyflip is a cosmic journey, the nexus flip is a really, really good party. As the MDMA starts to fade — that moment where you normally feel the first hints of comedown sadness — the 2C-B arrives like a second wave. Suddenly colors are popping again, everything has a sparkling, jewel-like quality, and the euphoria doesn't just continue, it transforms. The headspace is remarkably clear: you're tripping, but you can hold conversations, you know who you are, you're not lost in cosmic revelations. Your body feels amazing — touch is electric, music is gorgeous, and you're genuinely having the time of your life. It's the flip that makes you smile all night.
2C-B is a phenethylamine psychedelic that acts as a partial agonist at 5-HT2A and 5-HT2C receptors. Unlike LSD or psilocybin, 2C-B has significant affinity for 5-HT2C (which modulates mood and anxiety) and some dopamine receptor activity, contributing to its uniquely euphoric and clear-headed psychedelic character. When combined with MDMA, the timing is key: MDMA dumps serotonin, and as that serotonin tide recedes (the comedown), 2C-B steps in as a direct receptor agonist that doesn't depend on serotonin availability. This is why the nexus flip "rescues" the MDMA comedown — 2C-B provides its own receptor activation rather than relying on depleted serotonin stores. The result is a seamless transition from empathogenic to psychedelic effects.
The nexus flip is often described as the most reliably enjoyable flip combination. 2C-B is a phenethylamine psychedelic with a reputation for producing vivid, colorful visuals and physical euphoria without the deep cognitive disruption of LSD or mushrooms. Combined with MDMA, it produces a state that is visual, euphoric, social, and manageable.
Visuals from 2C-B are bright, colorful, and playful — shifting patterns, enhanced colors, and a "sparkling" quality to light. They complement MDMA's emotional warmth without producing the cosmic intensity of LSD visuals.
The body high is excellent. Both 2C-B and MDMA produce physical euphoria, and the combination amplifies this. Touch feels extraordinary, music is deeply enhanced, and there's a general sense of physical pleasure.
Cognitively, the nexus flip is clearer than other flip combinations. 2C-B doesn't produce the thought loops, ego dissolution, or challenging introspection associated with LSD or mushrooms. The headspace remains lucid and social.
The unique advantage of the nexus flip is the timing: taking 2C-B as the MDMA fades transforms the comedown into a gentle psychedelic afterglow rather than the flat, depleted feeling of a standard MDMA comedown.
| Substance | Solo Dose | Combo Dose | Route |
|---|---|---|---|
| MDMA | 100–150 mg | 80–120 mg | Oral |
| 2C-B | 15–25 mg | 10–20 mg | Oral |
MDMA first, 2C-B second. This is the standard and recommended order.
MDMA: 80–120 mg oral. Standard dosing.
2C-B: 10–20 mg oral, taken as the MDMA begins to fade (about 3–4 hours after MDMA). Start at 10–15 mg for your first nexus flip — the MDMA sensitizes you to the 2C-B, so it may feel stronger than expected.
Do not take 2C-B first. The nausea from 2C-B come-up combined with MDMA come-up is unpleasant, and the timing is harder to manage.
T+0:00 — Take MDMA (80–120 mg oral).
T+0:45–1:30 — MDMA come-up and peak.
T+1:30–3:00 — MDMA peak. Full euphoria, empathy, energy.
T+3:00–3:30 — Take 2C-B (10–20 mg oral) as MDMA starts to fade.
T+3:30–4:00 — 2C-B come-up. Possible brief nausea. Visuals begin emerging.
T+4:00–6:00 — 2C-B peak overlapping with MDMA afterglow. Colorful visuals, physical euphoria, social energy. This is the core of the nexus flip.
T+6:00–7:00 — 2C-B fading. Gentle return to baseline.
T+7:00+ — Baseline. Sleep usually possible. Afterglow is typically positive.
The nexus flip is the most versatile of the flip combinations — it works well in almost any setting where MDMA works. House parties are excellent: the social, clear-headed nature of the nexus flip makes conversation and connection easy. Clubs and dance events work great, especially with colorful lighting — 2C-B makes light shows spectacular. Intimate gatherings of 3–6 friends with music and good vibes are ideal for a first attempt. Outdoor events during sunset/evening are beautiful. Best music: anything with rich production — house, disco, funk, indie electronic, Tame Impala, Daft Punk. The nexus flip is forgiving enough that the setting doesn't need to be as carefully controlled as with deeper psychedelic flips.
Nausea management: 2C-B frequently causes nausea on the come-up. Ginger tea or ginger capsules help. Eat lightly.
Dose carefully: 2C-B has a steep dose-response curve. The difference between 15 mg and 25 mg is enormous. Start low, especially in combination with MDMA.
Test your substances: 2C-B is frequently misrepresented. Reagent testing is essential. Marquis reagent turns green/yellow for 2C-B.
MDMA rules apply: Frequency limits, hydration, temperature awareness.
Avoid insufflation of 2C-B: Snorting 2C-B is extremely painful and the rapid onset in combination with MDMA can be overwhelming.
“I don't think any drug or combo has been this intensely colorful and melty. Total satisfaction.”
“The true beauty of the nexus flip is the transition between two amazing headspaces. I felt really good emotionally from the MDMA, and at the same time felt the electricity of the 2C-B.”
“2C-B removed the MDMA comedown completely. Instead of crashing, I just floated into this warm, visual space where everything was saturated and alive.”
“The best part is the timing trick: take the 2C-B right as the MDMA starts dropping. Instead of a comedown, you get a second wave. It feels like cheating.”
