MDMA Flip

The Jedi flip is the combination of LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, and MDMA — a triple-stack that represents the most intense commonly discussed flip combination. It is not for beginners. The name suggests a mastery of the psychedelic experience, and the combination demands it. It merges LSD's electric precision and cosmic scope with mushrooms' organic emotional depth and MDMA's empathogenic euphoria. When it goes well, users describe it as the most profound experience of their lives. When it goes poorly, it can be extraordinarily overwhelming. This combination should only be attempted by highly experienced users in controlled, safe environments.
The Jedi flip is not an experience you ride — it's an experience that takes you. The two psychedelics create a visual landscape of impossible complexity: LSD's geometric architectures interweave with mushrooms' organic breathing patterns, producing visions that feel like watching the source code of reality render in real time. Then the MDMA arrives and floods everything with golden warmth and love. At the peak, identity dissolves completely. You are not a person having an experience; you are the experience having itself. Time stops meaning anything. Many people report contacting something that feels larger than themselves — whether they interpret that as the universe, God, or the collective unconscious varies, but the sense of contact is remarkably consistent. Coming down feels like being gently deposited back into your body after a long absence.
The Jedi flip represents maximum 5-HT2A receptor activation through three simultaneous serotonergic mechanisms. LSD (partial 5-HT2A agonist with extremely high binding affinity and slow dissociation) and psilocin (partial 5-HT2A agonist with different binding kinetics) create a dual-agonist scenario at the same receptor, producing visual and cognitive effects beyond what either achieves alone. MDMA then massively increases synaptic serotonin, adding endogenous agonism on top of the exogenous agonists. The receptor is being activated from multiple angles simultaneously. Add MDMA's oxytocin release, dopamine flooding, and norepinephrine stimulation, and the result is the most pharmacologically complex commonly used combination — and accordingly, one of the most intense.
The Jedi flip produces an experience of extreme intensity that combines elements of all three substances. LSD contributes geometric visuals, analytical depth, and a sense of cosmic significance. Mushrooms add organic visual flow, emotional depth, and a feeling of connection to nature and life. MDMA provides euphoria, empathy, and emotional safety.
Visuals are exceptionally vivid and complex — users report seeing impossible geometric architectures that breathe and flow organically, with a warm golden quality from the MDMA. The visual experience can become completely immersive, replacing ordinary perception entirely.
Emotionally, the combination can produce states of overwhelming love, gratitude, and interconnectedness. The MDMA helps buffer the challenging edges of the double psychedelic load, but at high doses even this buffer can be overwhelmed.
Ego dissolution is almost guaranteed at moderate-plus doses. The combination of two ego-disrupting psychedelics with MDMA's boundary dissolution can produce complete loss of self-identity — experienced as either transcendent or terrifying depending on preparation and set/setting.
| Substance | Solo Dose | Combo Dose | Route |
|---|---|---|---|
| LSD | 100–200 µg | 50–75 µg | Oral |
| Psilocybin Mushrooms | 2.5–4.0 g | 1.0–1.5 g | Oral |
| MDMA | 100–150 mg | 75–100 mg | Oral |
All three substances must be dosed significantly lower than solo use. The synergy is multiplicative, not additive.
LSD: 50–75 µg maximum. This is not the time for a full tab.
Psilocybin mushrooms: 1–1.5 g dried. Well below a normal dose.
MDMA: 75–100 mg. Low end of normal.
Timing: Take LSD and mushrooms together (or mushrooms 30 minutes after LSD). Take MDMA 2.5–3.5 hours later. The goal is for all three peaks to overlap.
This combination is not recommended for anyone without extensive experience with each substance individually and with at least one two-substance flip combination. Know your reactions to candyflipping and hippie flipping before attempting a Jedi flip.
T+0:00 — Take LSD (50–75 µg) and psilocybin mushrooms (1–1.5 g).
T+0:30–1:30 — Come-up of both psychedelics. Can be intense and disorienting.
T+1:30–2:30 — Double psychedelic peak building. Intense visuals and cognitive effects.
T+2:30–3:30 — Take MDMA (75–100 mg).
T+3:00–4:00 — MDMA come-up overlaps with psychedelic peak. The full Jedi flip experience begins.
T+4:00–6:00 — Peak experience. All three substances fully active. Extreme intensity.
T+6:00–8:00 — MDMA and mushrooms fading. LSD still active.
T+8:00–12:00 — LSD comedown. Residual effects.
T+12:00+ — Baseline. Exhaustion likely. Integration may take days.
Home only. This is not a festival combination, not a club combination, and not an outdoor combination unless you have a completely private, controlled space. The Jedi flip demands: a comfortable, familiar room with soft lighting, temperature control, easy access to a bathroom, and zero possibility of unexpected visitors or interruptions. Have a dedicated sober trip sitter who has experience with psychedelic support. Prepare the space in advance: water bottles, fruit, soft blankets, a curated playlist of 12+ hours. Best music: ambient (Brian Eno, Stars of the Lid), gentle psychedelic (Shpongle ambient albums), nature sounds, or silence. Remove all screens — phones, TVs, computers. Remove anything you don't want to encounter while in a profoundly altered state. Many experienced users recommend having a journal available for the comedown.
Experience requirement: Do not attempt a Jedi flip without extensive experience with each substance individually and with two-substance flips. This is not a combination for experimentation.
Trip sitter is mandatory. Not optional. Someone sober must be present.
Environment must be controlled. Home, trusted friends, comfortable setting. Not a festival, not a club, not a party.
Serotonin load is high. Three serotonergic substances together. Absolutely no SSRIs, MAOIs, tramadol, or other serotonergic drugs.
Dose conservatively. You can always try slightly higher doses next time. You cannot undo an overwhelming Jedi flip.
Plan for recovery. The day after will likely involve fatigue and emotional sensitivity. Clear your schedule.
Test everything. Three substances means three points of failure for adulterants.
“It was just insane. There's no way to describe it. I had a flash ego death in the middle of a setting overloaded with stimuli.”
“What I could focus on was intensely euphoric, a mix between the relaxation of the mushrooms and the stimulation of the LSD and MDMA. But focusing on anything was the hard part.”
“According to everyone I've talked to who's done it, jedi flipping is one of the most intense psychedelic experiences you can have without smoking DMT. The name 'Jedi' is literal — you need mastery to handle it.”
“The visuals were beyond anything I can describe. Imagine fractal cathedral windows that are breathing and growing, made of light, and you're somehow inside them. And you feel like you're made of love.”
