At higher intensities, full musical compositions may be perceived with remarkable complexity and fidelity, sometimes in genres or styles the listener has never heard before. Voices may speak coherent sentences, sometimes addressing the user directly, though insight is usually maintained that these are drug-induced.

Dose-Dependent Spectrum

At threshold levels, auditory hallucinations present as vague, ambiguous sounds — one might question whether a faint sound was real or imagined.
